1. Deputy Librarian- 1

PB-3(Rs.15600-39100)+GP Rs.8000/-

ESSENTIAL:

(a) Master’s degree in Library Science/ Information Science/Documentation with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade and consistently good academic record. 

(b) Five year’s experience as an Assistant University Librarian/College Librarian

(c) Evidence of innovative library services published work professional commitment and computerization of a library.

DESIRABLE:

(a) Master of Philosophy/Ph.D degree in Library Science/Information Science/ Documentation/Archieves and Manuscript keeping, computerization of a Library.

(b) Specialized course in Computer Applications & Networking.

(c) Experience of working in Computerized Libraries.

The last date for submission of duly completed applications alongwith attested copy of certificates in the Institute will be 31.01.2013, thereafter no applications will be entertained.

Vacancy of Sr. Library Information Assistant (SLIA) in scheme (Project Mode) at Central Library, IIT Mandi.

Applications are invited for one temporary post of Sr. Library Information Assistant (SLIA) in scheme (Project Mode) at Central Library, IIT Mandi.

The essential and desirable qualifications proposed for this post may be as mentioned below:

Bachelor's degree (B. Library) or equivalent diploma in Library Science from recognized University / Institute or equivalent, obtained after graduation from a recognized university.
Experience of two years in a Library or a one year Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications from a Government Institutions or a University.
Post is purely temporary.
Consolidated emolument in the range of Rs. 20,000 to 25,000/- p.m.

Desirable:

Master in Library Science
Experience of working in IITs/IISERs/IIMs/NITs system
